Flood Sequencing Activity ONE.

Pupils have to sort the information into a logical sequence… Better computers were bought to tell when there is going to be a flood in the future. Bridges were knocked down by the force of the river and houses were destroyed The council gave out sandbags to stop the water getting in people's homes There was a flood! A heavy thunderstorm was forecast by the weather forecasters on the 14th August People were warned that there might be a big flood The amount of water in the river Lyn rose quickly In the first two weeks of August 1952 there was a lot of rain People moved their valuables upstairs A lot of people did not hear the flood warning because it was at night There was a very heavy thunderstorm on the night of the 15th August 1952 The army helped to rescue people stranded in their homes Repair work on Lynmouth
